Conversations That Ignite Change

Kingsbrae Conversations is a bold initiative that exists to inspire and mobilize Atlantic Canadians and others who join us, to act urgently to help build a sustainable and regenerative planet – for this generation and those to come.

Our aspiration is for Atlantic Canada to emerge as a beacon on the global sustainability landscape.

Through intentional conversations and collective action we can change the world.

Kingsbrae Conversations is a non-profit initiative that connects a vibrant regional and international community with a unique annual gathering in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. At the Gathering we convene leading thinkers, innovators, disruptors, community change makers and policy makers from across generations, cultures, global locations and political perspectives.

This is where innovation can emerge, where we confront polarization with bold, honest, diverse and sometimes uncomfortable dialogue. Where mindsets can shift and change can happen.

Enlighten. Inspire. Empower.

We are building a community-led effort where innovation can emerge, where bold, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable dialogue can happen, and where mindsets can shift. That’s why rooting ourselves in Atlantic Canada makes sense. This region is shaped by shared identity, interdependence and resilience: our sense of community runs deep.

This beautiful corner of the globe represents a rare and timely opportunity to prototype a new way of mobilizing society toward meaningful climate action. Kingsbrae Conversations is built on the belief that small places can lead big conversations.

Our ambition is that Atlantic Canada becomes a beacon of hope and a model of resilience, collaboration, and stewardship for future generations.

While our focus is international in scope, our work begins in Atlantic Canada.

Yet we’re bigger than the Gathering. We are an evolving community committed to intergenerational collaboration through year-round residencies, digital storytelling, identification of action pathways and tool-kits, and programming that will cultivate deeper relationships and build momentum for meaningful change—right here in Atlantic Canada.

We provide a platform to share bold ideas for a more sustainable planet, and we also partner with universities and global research institutions to shape tangible outcomes, and measure impact.

We acknowledge that the land upon which we gather is in Peskotomuhkati Nation, the traditional and sacred territory of the Peskotomuhkati People. We pay our respects to the Peskotomuhkati people in the past, present, and future, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture, and hopes of this land.
